SAMPLE -- Christmas on the Moon
Lights on the space ship. Through a window of the space ship we see Mary Ann and Joe.
Joe -- Are you buckled in, Mary Ann? We’ll be entering the planetary atmosphere soon.
Mary Ann -- That’s the third time you’ve asked, Joe. Yes, I am buckled in.
Joe -- Sorry, I just want everything to be A-O-K.
Mary Ann -- It will be.
Joe -- I just hope we’re doing the right thing.
Mary Ann -- I know we are. People on earth have forgotten about God. They don’t love him anymore. I want to celebrate Christmas with people who remember what Christmas is about.
Joe -- So, do you think the people on Neptune believe in Jesus?
Mary Ann -- I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t. They haven’t been corrupted by the immoral things on TV and in movies.
Joe -- I hope you’re right. Prepare for entry and landing.
The sounds of rocket thrusters and landing. They are seen to push buttons as they talk through the landing. Add lights and smoke effects if capable.
Joe -- Activate Gyroscopic thrusters.
Mary Ann -- Thrusters activated.
Joe -- Bring about to 1 point 864.
Mary Ann -- 1 point 864 – Mark.
Joe -- Calibrate deflection to counteract wind sheer.
Mary Ann -- Calibrating … calibrating …
Joe -- I need the number.
Mary Ann -- Got it! 86 degrees to vertical.
Joe -- 86 degrees – Mark.
Mary Ann -- Shields are holding steady at 100% strength.
Joe -- Touch down in 5-4-3-2-1 – Mark!
Mary Ann -- Great job, Joe.
Joe -- Thanks, Mary Ann. What’s the atmosphere like here?
Mary Ann -- Nothing our filters can’t handle. Come on! I want to see Neptune up close.
Joe -- Don’t forget your intergalactic translator!
Lights fade on ship as they climb down. Lights up on center stage. We see a variety of Neptunians engaged in activities. Throwing balls, playing board games, having fun.
Blark -- Hey, Carpo, did you see that flash over the hill?
Carpo -- What flash?
Blark -- Are you blind? It was like an exploding star. How could you miss it?
Carpo -- Sorry, Blark, had my head in this new video game.
Blark -- That new one just out?
Carpo -- Yep, “Seven Comets and Counting” You gotta blast your way through three star systems to destroy the comets before they can come and destroy Neptune. The graphics are great.
Blark -- Man, Carpo, you always have the coolest stuff.
Mary Ann and Joe enter.
Joe -- Greetings, Neptunians!
Carpo -- Who are you?
Joe My name is Joe and this is my wife, Mary Ann. What’s your name?
Carpo Carpo.
Blark -- I’m Blark. Where are you from?
Mary Ann -- The third planet from the sun. We call it Earth.
All Neptunians -- Bleen!
Mary Ann -- Bleen?
